COURSES Courses finally offered will depend on “demand” of
number of students. For instance,
SPA 301 was not planned in this pilot program but it was included after the
high interest of some students to take SPA 301 and SPA 302 at the same time
in Argentina.
SPA 302 (Advanced
Spanish- Grammar and Conversation) Prereq: SPA
202 (WCU
credits) SPA 321 (Culturas de Hispanoamérica, in Spanish) Prereq: SPA 301
or 302 (transfer credits)

COST We want to keep student cost to a minimum.
The cost per student is the following: 3
credits $2700 6 credits $3300 * This
cost is based on a group of 10
students (the minimum number of students required for the program to run) * If 15 students join the program,
the cost will be lowered (from the final cost
based on 10 students). This cost covers: ·
Transportation from arrival to Buenos Aires airport to
Rosario ·
Tuition for 3 credits or 6 credits ·
Family Housing (breakfast and dinner included) o
Lunch is not
included, but it is really cheap to have lunch in Rosario (you can buy some
empanadas for $3, or eat in a regular restaurant for $5-$8). o
All families provide internet access o
Housing will be at a walking distance or a maximum of 5-10 minute ride
by bus. ·
Orientation and Farewell activities ·
Local cultural activities (city tour, tango, folklore, museums,
etc.) ·
Local insurance Cost does NOT include: ·
Airfare (approx. $950
[as of Oct 23 2011] for dates of program) o
We will try to get a discount “group rate” to travel together.
However, students can arrive and depart to the program before or after the
dates established ·
Optional programmed activities (Buenos Aires weekend, Gaucho
Estancia, Iguazú Falls, etc.…) ·
International insurance
(Mandatory. Approx. $150) ·
Argentina tourist entrance fee
($140) o
No visa is required to enter Argentina, but U.S. citizens must pay
this fee upon entrance as reciprocity for the cost of a U.S. visa for
Argentine citizens |
