The Chester County Archives are located in the Government Services Center (GSC) at 601 Westtown Road in West Goshen Township, just east of the Borough of West Chester.
Heading from US Route 202: Exit at the Westtown Road exit (located between Matlack Street and West Chester Pike) and head north towards West Chester. The entrance to the GSC is on your right just past the baseball fields.
From the West Chester University campus: Go one block north of Main Hall on High Street and turn right on to East Nields Street. Proceed straight for four blocks, cross the railroad tracks, go past the Wyeth factory and go through a 4-way stop sign until you reach the traffic light at Westtown Road. The exit from the GSC will be directly across Westtown Road, but to reach the entrance, you must turn right (south towards US Route 202) and then left into the parking lot. [NOTE: The total distance is about one mile. You can walk it in 20 minutes (but be careful along the part of Nields Street with no sidewalks) or bicycle it in about 5 minutes.]
