Requirements for the Group Project

I am going to require that your project do several things, which are listed below. These requirements are designed to guarantee that your project represents a substantial research commitment and that it includes your own analysis of the text. There's still plenty of room for innovation, originality, and imagination!

• At least 66% of your own original material (including non-WWW research material). In other words, no more than 33% of your pages can be links to other people's websites (not including text of poem or poems).
• References to or quotations from at least five print-based research sources (biographies, reviews, critical articles, historical/cultural information, literary histories, literary theory, etc.).
• At least one substantial page/screen of critical analysis from each group member (which you may identify with your initials/name).
• A minimum of 1250 words of original text (not including titles and links).

If any of these requirements become a problem, I am willing to listen to your argument for revising one or two. But you must be responsible for getting my approval for any deviation from these basic requirements, or the project will be downgraded.
