But what if the joke is on Henry? Perhaps his laughter has a slight
edge of hysteria to it. Maybe Shaw is suggesting that Henry is not the
Superman he thinks he is but he is vulnerable to the same emotions such
as jealousy as everyone else. I'd like to believe in a more sympathetic
Higgins, one who is not fully in control. But then, maybe Shaw has the
"last laugh," showing me how much I want a different ending.
