Binary Dance Piece in Baroque Style due Feb. 14, 2001 (V day)


Compose a short 16 measure piece in 18th century style for piano, guitar, marimba, or string/wind trio/quartet, using the following model. That is, your A and B sections will each consist of two four-bar phrases which end on a cadence, using the following key/cadence scheme (you may use any key, choosing the appropriate model for major or minor). Base your piece on a short melody, approximately 1-2 measures long. (The use of secondary dominants or leading-tone chords is optional).
